At TME, we have been working on developing our pneumatics product range for a while now. Currently, one of the major suppliers of products available in this part of our product portfolio is Pneumat. New solutions from this manufacturer, gas springs, have just been added to the TME catalogue.
The springs are filled with natural gas. They serve the role of lifting, retaining, pressing and pulling actuators (shock absorbers, telescopes) in many industrial applications – in metal processing plants, mining, in manufacturing facilities, transportation, etc. Such components facilitate tasks performed by employees, as they minimise the effort needed to handle heavy machine parts – thereby making work faster and more efficient.
Pneumat springs are manufactured in two variants: with pre-welded steel eyelets or terminated with threads. The latter are fitted with ball joints (made of plastic) or metal end fittings compatible with clevis brackets. In addition, the products are available with piston stroke ranging from 20 mm to 900 mm, 50 N – 5000 N pushing/pulling force and 6 mm – 20 mm diameter. Such a wide range of parameters makes it possible to find solutions suitable for a variety of applications, from precision machines to massive machine tools.
