The converters offer a combination of the possibilities that the step-up and step-down circuits give, which means that they are able to provide the rated output voltage regardless of whether the input voltage is lower or higher than the rated value. The voltage range is between 2.8 V and 22 V DC. Such circuits are a perfect power supply solution for devices using battery packs, periodically connected to an external charger. They also enable users to work with renewable energy sources, e.g. cells and turbines, providing stable device operation, regardless of changing weather conditions.
